Spring has well and truly spring and boy are we loving it! The warmer weather, longer days and gorgeous green gardens… Need we say more? We sat down with our resident nutritionist, Lyndi Cohen to find out her top picks for spring.

Beetroot

Beautiful beets are now in season. Loaded with vitamin C, adding beetroots into your diet can help you get clearer, healthier looking skin. Along with helping improve blood flow, beetroots are naturally high in fibre (which is good news for your gut) and contain a powerful phytonutrient and antioxidant called anthocyanin. Beet the crowd to our delicious (and my favourite) Beetroot and Feta Salad.

Picnics

Cauliflower

In Australia, Cauliflower is in full season. Eating oranges isn’t the only way to get your daily dose of vitamin C. Leafy greens

Your mum was right. It’s worth getting plenty of leafy greens in your diet when you consider they are a nutritional loaded with the food stuff like vitamin A, C, K, magnesium and iron, perfect for when you need an energy boost. Walking to work

Want to boost your mood? Why not walk or cycle to work. You’ll skip the traffic, seamlessly fit in a morning workout and boost your mood. Getting a little more active in the morning will give you a good hit of endorphins and you’ll benefit from the gentle early morning rays with their mood (and bone) boosting vitamin D.
